Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honor you father and mother" - which is the first commandment with a promise- "so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth."
Father's, do not exasperate you children; instead bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
Bear with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgive each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.
In the same way the church is devoted to Christ, let the wives be devoted to their husbands in everything.
You, LORD, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes always perseveres. Love never fails
