Community Development administers codes and

ordinances to safeguard life and property by regulating

building construction and providing municipal code

compliance services.

City Attorney's Office

- Provides legal advice to City Council, City manager,

staff, commissions, committees and task forces.

- Represents and defends City Council, employees,

commissions and committees in litigation for official

acts not covered by insurance, land use matters,

administrative agencies, workers' compensation

claims and other matters.

Environmental Services

Provides safe water, essential wastewater systems,

watershed management, natural resource restoration,

regulates waste disposal services and manages street

maintenance.

Economic Development

The city is business friendly, with tools and incentives

to help eligible companies willing to invest and

reinvest in Gresham.

Urban Renewal

Building Rockwood's future: A citywide vote in 2003

established the 1,211-acre Rockwood-West Gresham

Urban Renewal Area.

The 20-year Urban Renewal Plan will improve

Rockwood's economy and community, and is a

partnership among residents, property and business

owners, and the City of Gresham.

Urban Design and Planning is committed to serving the

needs of our community, both today and into the

future.
