Vision Purpose Mission:
We purpose to be a community of believers from every generation who creatively make disciples of Jesus. We are learning together to live like Christ while reaching out in his name.
Desired Community Impact:
While Good Shepherd has been known for decades as a church with strong global outreach, we are now recognizing the urgent call to team up with schools, churches, ministries, and other agencies in Rockwood to build bridges strong enough to carry the weight of the gospel near at hand.
Congregation Demographics:
We are a traditionally white congregation of about 3,000 participants with a small mix of many other ethnic minorities. Our people represent a broad spectrum of spiritual and secular backgrounds with a focus on learning obedience to Christ in the Scriptures and simultaneous faithfulness to the Holy Spirit to be transformed and available wherever the Lord sends us. We are eager to more fully reflect the colorful diversity and richness of cultures at our doorstep where the Lord of Life is at work.
